July 19th – What’s the latest with Vincent?
July 19, 2025
I want to thank you for your continued support as I work to put you back in control of your life. Your trust means everything to me — it fuels my commitment to stand up for your freedoms, your family, and your future.
This Liberal minority government has declared war on your wallet and your freedom to choose. In their rush to impose a top-down ideological agenda, they’re encroaching working Canadians who rely on affordable, reliable transportation. Whether you’re commuting to work, taking your kids to after-school activities, or running a small business, Mark Carney wants to control what kind of vehicle you’re allowed to drive — and force you to pay more for it.
By next year, the Liberal government will force car manufacturers to make electric vehicles (EVs) account for 20% of their sales — double the current rate. If they don’t meet that target, they will have to buy credits that could cost up to $20,000 per non-EV sold, which will force consumers to pay more. By 2035, the Liberals want gas-powered and hybrid vehicles completely banned across Canada.
This is unsustainable and unrealistic for many reasons:
- Our electricity grid, in its current state, cannot handle the demand required to power a 100% EV mandate.
- This mandate hinders competition and restricts consumer choice when it comes to purchasing a vehicle.
- The CAA found that EVs lose about 40% of their battery range in the winter. This means Canadians will not be able to drive long distances during colder months.
- EVs cost thousands of dollars more to manufacture than gas-powered cars. Combined with the $20,000 in credit penalties, this will drastically raise vehicle prices — causing you to pay more when buying a car.
The Liberals are trying to take away your right to choose what kind of car you drive. Conservatives will fight tooth and nail to repeal the EV mandate, restore your personal freedoms, and protect the buying power of your money.
