A message from your Member of Parliament

Parliament is back, and that means Conservatives are back to hold the Liberals to account. So far this session, the Liberals have kept serving Canadians the same old excuses.

Mark Carney asked Canadians to judge him by grocery prices:
– Food prices have risen 48% faster in Canada than in the United States
– Food Banks Canada reports that more than 1 in 4 Canadians are experiencing food insecurity
And still, the Liberals voted against our Conservative motion to cut four key taxes on your groceries.

The Liberals claim they’re taking action on crime. But after 10 years…
– Liberal Bills C-5 and C-75 have designed a system where repeat violent offenders get easy access to bail, releasing them back onto our streets just hours after being arrested.
These reckless Liberal laws have contributed to 29% more homicides, 76% more sexual assaults, and an astounding 330% increase in incidents of extortion since 2015.

Liberals promising to “fix” issues they created is like hiring an arsonist showing up with a garden hose to put out a fire they lit.

That’s why Conservatives are fighting back with Common Sense solutions—like the Jail Not Bail Act to keep dangerous criminals behind bars, and motions to cut hidden Liberal taxes so Canadians can finally get a break at the checkout line.

Futurevic Global Sourcing Reception  
 
At Futurevic Global Sourcing’s appreciation reception in Richmond Hill South, I joined community members in celebrating their work to raise awareness and funds for mental health. It was an inspiring evening of collaboration and commitment to a vital cause.
Terry Fox Tribute 
 
I had the honour of meeting Fred Fox, Terry Fox’s brother, at the Terry Fox statue in Ransom Parkette. Terry’s story remains a powerful reminder of resilience and hope, and his legacy continues to unite our community.
Meeting with York Regional Police 
 
I met with Chief Jim MacSween, senior York Regional Police officers, and fellow York Region MPs to discuss community safety. We spoke about the urgent need to reform Canada’s broken bail system so violent repeat offenders remain behind bars.
Peak Pursuit Academy Opening 
 
We celebrated the grand opening of Peak Pursuit Academy here in Richmond Hill South. With its focus on learning and growth, the academy is another example of how our community creates new opportunities for the next generation.
Harvesting Hope
 
I was glad to take part in Harvesting Hope, where discussions centered on housing, wellness, and strengthening services in our community. These conversations are essential as we work together to build a stronger Richmond Hill South.
